This belief lies at the heart of Purpose Journeys, a new travel concept created by Raro Discovery and Fondazione Francesca Rava – NPH Italia ETS.
Bringing together Raro Discovery’s expertise in designing carefully curated travel experiences with Fondazione Francesca Rava’s more than 25 years of humanitarian work, Purpose Journeys offers thoughtfully designed itineraries where cultural discovery, authentic human connection and meaningful impact come together naturally. Every journey is created with intention from the very beginning. Local knowledge, long-standing relationships and carefully curated experiences shape itineraries that encourage travellers to engage with a destination in a deeper, more meaningful way.
Travellers are invited to immerse themselves in each destination, connecting with local communities, hearing their stories and experiencing a place through genuine human encounters that would rarely be accessible through traditional tourism. Alongside remarkable cultural heritage, extraordinary landscapes and authentic local traditions, each itinerary creates opportunities to better understand the people and communities that make every destination unique.
Launching in Guatemala
The inaugural Purpose Journeys itinerary will take place in Guatemala from 2–10 December 2026, inviting a small group of travellers to discover one of Central America’s most culturally rich and biodiverse destinations.
From the colourful streets and colonial architecture of Antigua to the ancient Mayan cities of Tikal and Yaxhá, the journey reveals Guatemala through its history, nature, traditions and vibrant cultural heritage.
Accompanied by representatives from Fondazione Francesca Rava, participants will also visit the Foundation’s local projects, meeting the children and communities it supports and gaining a deeper understanding of the lasting impact of its work. These encounters are an integral part of the experience, offering an opportunity to engage with the destination through meaningful human connection and a shared commitment to creating positive impact.
Purpose Journeys reflects a belief that travel can inspire curiosity, deepen understanding and create connections that endure long after the journey has ended.
